When you Arrive at your site Make sure there is nothing overhanging your Tipi that could cause damage like Trees that could rub on your canvas or fall onto your Tipi. Make sure there are no pipes or cables under your Tipi where you will be pegging/staking. Finally make sure the ground is solid enough that your pegs stay in the ground (boggy or wet sites are very hard to get your Tipi pegged down as the pegs can be pulled out of the ground very easily.

Make sure there is enough space to fit your Tipi you will need at least 16mtrs to get your poles in place and at least 10.5mtrs for your Tipi to fit.
